This policy explains what personal information Timberlane collects through this website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and what you can ask us to do with it. It covers timberlane.co and the enquiries you send us through it.

The short version
- You can read every page of this site without telling us who you are.
- We only receive your personal details if you choose to send them — through the enquiry form, by calling us, or by messaging us on WhatsApp.
- We use those details to respond to your enquiry and to design and quote for your project. Nothing more.
- We use Google and Meta measurement tools to understand how people find and use the site.
- We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.
Information you give us
Our design consultation form asks for your name, mobile number, the product you are interested in, your project location and, optionally, your budget range. You may also send us information yourself by email, phone or WhatsApp — for example your address, floor plans, photographs or measurements.
Enquiries from the form reach our team as an email. They are not stored in a database on this website. Messages you send by WhatsApp or email stay in those inboxes.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, ours records technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you open, the time of your visit, and the site or advertisement that referred you. This comes from our hosting provider’s server logs and from the measurement tools described below. We use it to keep the site running, to protect it from abuse, and to understand which pages and advertisements are useful.
Cookies and measurement tools
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. This site uses:
- Google Analytics — to count visits and see which pages are read, through Google Tag Manager.
- Google Ads — to measure which advertisements lead to enquiries, so we do not keep paying for advertising that does not work.
- Meta Pixel — the equivalent measurement for our Facebook and Instagram advertising.
- Caching and performance cookies — set by our caching system so pages load quickly. These hold no personal information.
When we measure an enquiry, we record that an enquiry happened and which product and page it came from. We do not send your name, phone number, location or budget to Google or Meta.
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on and adjust Meta’s advertising settings in your Facebook or Instagram account. Blocking cookies does not stop you using this site.
How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange a design consultation.
- To prepare designs, quotations and, if you go ahead, to deliver and install your order.
- To contact you about your project by phone, WhatsApp or email.
- To measure and improve our website and our advertising.
- To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We send marketing messages only to people who have asked us to, and you can tell us to stop at any time.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers who run this site for us — our web host, our email provider and the measurement tools named above. They act on our instructions.
- People who carry out your order — our manufacturing, delivery and installation teams, where they need your details to do the work.
- Authorities or advisers — where the law requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
Some of these providers operate outside India, so your information may be processed on servers in other countries under those providers’ own safeguards.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry correspondence for up to 24 months after we last hear from you, so we can pick up where we left off if you come back to us. Records relating to a completed order are kept for as long as our tax and accounting obligations require. You can ask us to delete your information sooner.
How we protect it
This site is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and access to our inboxes and website administration is limited to people who need it. No website or email system is completely secure, so please do not send us financial account details or identity documents through the enquiry form.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you;
- correct it if it is wrong or incomplete;
- delete it, where we are not required to keep it;
- stop contacting you, or withdraw a consent you gave us.
Write to timberlane101@gmail.com and we will respond. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Children
This site is meant for adults arranging work on their homes. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, tell us and we will delete it.
Links to other websites
Our pages link to WhatsApp and to our social media profiles. Once you follow a link, the other service’s own privacy policy applies — we have no control over what they collect.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Please check it from time to time.
